Deciding when to step away from a trading system is a difficult trading decision. Deciding when to resume maybe even more difficult. We’ll examine a quantitative approach to both questions based on simple linear regression models of a system’s equity curve. And, we’ll estimate the impact of those decisions on long term performance.
